Goliath Removal
After about four hours of being in the operating room, David is out of surgery and sleeping in recovery. The Doctor said surgery went well. He did have two seizures during the operation but the doctor did not seemed concerned except that he would be more tired when he wakes up.
They were able to remove a tennis ball-size of tumor, but there is still some tumor left that is near the left side motor skills area of his brain. It will take a week to get results on the tumor itself and what it is, which will determine our next steps. As the Doc says “diagnosis determines prognosis.”
It is about 6:25 now and we should be able to see him in about an hour. He will be in ICU all night as they monitor his vitals. If he has full motion on both sides of his body, he will be moved out of ICU tomorrow.
Continued prayers for no side effects of surgery when he wakes up, full movement, and of course that we find out the tumor is benign and he has no more seizures!
We are humbled and blessed by all the love and support and prayers, and continue to have faith in complete healing for David.
Continued prayer here for David.
Atta boy! Strong like bull! Now, get some rest and heal!
I was just wondering how the surgery went- thanks for doing this.
Will keep praying

David, Keri and Sue,
You are amazing people and this is great news. David is strong and has the power of so many good people behind him I am confident everything will be fine. The Highlands have been praying for him, and we don’t really even pray, LOL. But just the power of posititive thinking feels like it makes a difference, we will continue to do that, please keep us all updated.
